BP Oil Spill

The big oil spill on The Gulf of Mexico has been a serious problem. Rachel Maddow on MSNBC have been saying that 30 years ago, there was a oil spill during 1979. 30 years ago they were really good at these things but now when

the oil has been spilled, people have been careful of risks ( Not killing animals, cause more oil been spilled...etc. )

Carl Sakkfin in his interview of Democracy Now, he said that these oil spill have been happening for a long time, the animals have been suffering because of oil which have stick to their feather, because of that they can swim or fly, then they suffer and die.

Oil spill have been causing a lot of problems because of the air, the air has been polluted. Secondly we might have eaten the fish that have died because of the thick oil on the ocean, that means we have eaten some oil from the died fish, which is from the sea,then this will cause people dying from the bacteria for the sea water.

When you have more money then others you will have more things, because you have the money so u can buy the things that you will want. But once you bought the thing you will have to use it. Or else you waste your money and time. To have the best amount of the money is the best. When you see something that you cant afford in the Global Mall, for me I wont really care, cause you have how much money, use the money wisely and buy the thing that you can buy. I can buy education, not going to school is like you lost something, you stop learning. You are going to be curious about anything that you don't know. To choose health care and food. I will choose food, because that if you need health care it is the same thing as food. Just eat the right amount of food. I have once been very sick, because of some kind sickness. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. If there isn't any medical, i might not be here, because of the sickness will going to get much more worse. The amount of the money is the limit how much things they can buy and the cost.

The idea is how women/girls all around the world. They think that woman will have to do certain things to please others. For example: People Israel thinks that if girls don't join in the army, they are not part of the culture.

Eve Ensler can just live a really simple live , but she choose to help other women, to let their feelings heard. She found out that these things are quiet interesting, she wrote the things which happened in her book.

The connection from this connection is that they use women like a toy, when they don't like it, they will throw it away which they don't care about how many they use and how many they throw out.

Unfriendly Earthquake took away Haiti

We watched a documentary about the Haiti earthquake which happy at the beginning of the year, Haitian have been suffering during the earthquake, people have been buried in bricks, houses, and building. Haitian have died in piles of bricks, if they are lucky they can crawl out of the bricks, but there is an example of a person who lived for 3 days in the bricks, he was buried in the bricks of a hotel, when he is in the bricks, he wound there is a vending machine which had been smashed from the ceiling, so he used the food, drink that in the vending to survive for 3 days. Countries have been helping Haiti, for medicine, food, and other help.

Nightmare of the Beautiful Island

In my opinion, Kiribati is a island which is similar to Taiwan,but it is just divided into islands. The island is really pretty, if they are cold they can just jump into the sea water, and mainly their food is fish or coconut. Mr. Bernard Murdoch's presentation is really touching, first he talked about the good part, but then when he start talking about global warming it it really touching, you showed us some movies which is talking about how the unfriendly ocean is rising and how it's taking your home, house, country, away.I will never forget the beautiful island, Kiribati, the sweet coconut, and the fresh fish. People who live there is a really loving person, they know that there is a disaster coming, and they can go and live in New Zealand, but they wont go is just because that their ancestor were buried there and they wont leave the island no matter what, when Mr. Bernard Mourdoch, have just finish this sentence, my nose have a sour feeling. We cant really change the natural disaster, but we can slow it down, and let this happen slower, so let the people in Kiribati have a chance to go to another country, or let them have a chance to say a goodbye to their family.

Avatar this movie is made by the director of "Titanic" In this movie, they are talking about how they communicate with the Navi's. Their goal is to get a kind of minerals which cost 20 million dollars per gallon. Only a few people have their own Avatar. For example: Jake, Norm, and Grace the scientist. When Jake was a human he came in the and be one of the people who is gonna spy on the Navi's. They have this kind of box, which they can go to the other world to spy on them. But Jake have fell in love with one of the Navi's. The Navi's had taught Jake, slowly Jake had become one of the Navi's. In this time, Jake had known a lot of things from the Navi's, for example: language, tradition and more. Jake loved the Navi's habit, just when he broke his promise with his general. To let the Navi's move away from home tree. Under home tree there are gallons and gallons of the mineral that they wanted. Jake wanted to warn the Navi's to be careful, but the soldiers were too fast. Children, adults, had died when the home tree collapse. The Navi's life had been communicating with the nature, they are friends with the nature. If the soldiers kill them, how will the Navi's work?

There is a similar thing happening today, global warming is an example, we are putting poison into the nature, throwing garbage around, pollution, burning paper and lots more, we are the soldiers who is harming the Navi's home. The animals are the Navi's who are living in the trees.

What Does a good citizen should look like?

Having to be a good citizen, is to what they were told from their leaders, But leaders power isn't much greater than all of the citizens. And leaders should listen to the citizens opinions. For example, to have the freedom to vote for the people who they think is suitable for the country, last to have the freedom to be free.

Personal Community

1. Family

Being a good citizen in your family is really easy, you will have to ask yourself what would you do for your family? Help them to do chores, babysit,do things which it will decrease the pressure of cleaning. One more person to help, the easier it will be. Some children do chores for money. For example, throwing garbage for 10NT, and so on. Helping your family to do chores is not enough, you will have to use your knowledge, justice, and wealth. Use your knowledge to help, for example: If you are having a new house, you will have to use your knowledge to think about if I but this pipe here will it block the AC and so on. Another example: If you have a family sick and they needed a surgery, but sometimes surgery doesn't work, they might die in the middle of the surgery.

Wealth example: If one of your family member needs a surgery, now you will have to use your money to pay for the surgery.

2. Community

Having to help your neighborhood is to lawn the grass, babysit and maybe wash their car, help your neighbor is to help help you too! For example: Teenagers in US, want to have money to buy their favorite things. SO they can wash their neighbor's car, law their grass or babysit. Another example is: Do a survey on the street which you are living, and ask what do they wish to improve, or what they wish they can get on their street. If your neighbor agrees that there is something which should improve, they should give you some money to get what they want. This survey can help your neighbors, and the street to let it look much more pretty.

3. School

Do favors in your school is really easy, for example: help your teacher to get a cup of coffee. SRC's is another example, to help the students what they should need. Discuss what isn't good for them. People in school of course there might have one or two people from another country. Some people without brains that doesn't know how to respect others. If their skin are dark, they will think that they are dirty and stuff, that is how we know Stereotype and Discrimination.

Citizen of a Nation

To be a good citizen, you shouldn't throe garbage around, if you see on on the ground, pick it up and throw it away. Be a good example in your house, your school your class. Slowly people will thing that it is better to do the right thing. Then they will start do the thing the same thing as you. When your friend needs help, we help. There is a sentence in chinese which means, if you help them nicely, they will pay back.

Citizen of a World

To be a good citizen in the world. Attitudes are really important. Stereotypes are prejudice are mostly in the negative ways. An example if you are a good citizen, you will use stereotype and prejudice in a good way. Attitudes are really important. Bias is the word for it. During the slavery time. The whites forced them to come to America to work for them. The whites attitude were really bad. They wip them or kill them they are treating them as animals which is really unfair. Cause they are still human, just different color. The thing that is in their mind is called Hidden Bias. The example above is called Discrimination. In Language Art we read a story called The Noble Experiment. Which they are start using the blacks in a baseball team. Then the whites learnt that people that are blacks is even stronger than the whites. So don't look at the outside of a person, you should always remember to look inside the person's mind and heart.

This is because is because that he tended to use the traditional musical forms concerto grosso, fugue, symphony frequently concealed a vein of intense emotion beneath a surface appearance of detachment or austerity, and often paid tribute to the music of earlier masters, for example J. S. Bach and Tchaikovsky.

One of his most famous music is called The Rite of Spring. Stravinsky's music is harmonically adventurous, with prominent use of dissonance for the purposes of color and musical energy. Rhythmically, it is similarly adventurous, a number of sections having constantly changing time signatures and off-beat accents.

Citizenship Reflection - Social Boundaries

We have learnt the effects of social boundaries, and in those five statements there is one of the statement that I have been experienced on. I was once that had been the most popular girl in the class, but then when the local girls came in our class, they went and say bad words behind our back, and I was pushed behind the class, that time I feel so uncomfortable of being pushed from the front of the class and back to the class. The thing that is missing in our school is because we don't really know each other. People had died is because other people think that person is the criminal or the bad guy, but really it is just an terrible accident. I think some time we respect adults, but they don't respect us is really true, cause some parents don't have jobs, and they just go to bar and drink for the whole day, when they are drunk they will start hit their child for no reasons. Parent have a lot of pressures from their job, and they will put their whole anger on their child, and we child don't have to be torture for no reasons. People see different ways is because everyone is different, and their ideas are different, everyone have different ways of looking at a thing and different ways of thinking.
